Biography of Doctor of Dentistry Ai Lien Oei

Doctor of Dentistry Ai Lien Oei (1989) graduated in 2014 from the Academisch Centrum TandheelkundeAmsterdam (ACTA). Having worked at several clinics all over the Netherlands, Ai Lien Oei had the opportunity to optimize her fresh out of school skill set and, having plans to one day start her own clinic, Oei payed extra attention to the different ways dentists run their clinics. In 2019 Ai Lien Oeihad the chance to use all her insights and she started her own all female clinic: De Amsterdamse Tandarts.

At de Amsterdamse Tandarts Oei practices general dentistry, but next to that she also specializes in implantology, reconstructive dentistry, transparent braces and cosmetic dentistry. Patients come to Oei for their dental health as well as for esthetic purposes. As it gained in popularity, ultimately, bleaching is a part of Oei’s routined work. The word cosmetic might make you think of vanity, but Oei sees the great benefit for her patients.

“To be able to treat a patient from start till finish to achieve the desired result, is a challenge I’m willing to improve and perfect every time. If expectations are set correctly, whitening clearly has a great impact on the esthetic satisfaction of patients.” Oei sees it’s more than wanting to look better. “A great smile makes a person pleasant to talk to and the patient often feels much more confident in everyday life”.

Oei’s expertise in the area of cosmetic dentistry hasn’t gone unnoticed as she’s been invited many times over to give lectures on transparent braces for Airsmile and on whitening for Cavex whitening.
